We handle vacuum forming at our company. A heated and softened resin sheet is placed over a mold, and air is rapidly evacuated through small holes in the mold, causing the sheet to adhere closely to the mold for shaping. During prototyping, it is possible to form from wooden molds, allowing for lower costs and shorter lead times for prototypes.
