What is a "Convolt Tank"? It is an outdoor storage tank for hazardous materials that integrates an oil containment berm, featuring a very robust structure capable of withstanding heavy rain, floods, typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis, heavy snowfall, and salt damage. It has been recognized for its high specifications in various aspects such as "shortening construction periods, maintenance management, and lifecycle costs," contributing to the second stage of public infrastructure. [Introduction of Implementation Case] We would like to introduce a case of a private refueling station from Izumi Corporation (headquartered in Sendai). Due to the nature of Izumi Corporation's business, vehicle fuel is essential during disasters. After experiencing the fuel shortage issue during the Great East Japan Earthquake, they implemented the tank with the goal of achieving "overwhelming BCP measures." "Nothing is best. However, to avoid regret when something happens next time," please also watch the interview video with Executive Director Yasukazu Kumano. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[Introduction of Case Studies] This is an example of contributing to the recovery and reconstruction of areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. One of the strengths of the Combult Tank is its ability to reduce the volume of on-site construction work. While this case is from after the disaster, preparing a Combult Tank in advance is also one of the disaster reduction measures. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "ConVault Tank" is the first certified tank for "protected aboveground storage of flammable and combustible liquids" under the U.S. safety standard No. 2085, and it also receives various regulatory exceptions under U.S. fire laws. In recent years, environmental issues have come to the forefront, and the "Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act" has been enacted since February 2003. As a result, it is expected that the mainstream of liquid fuel tanks will shift from underground buried types to aboveground types. ConVault, Inc., commissioned by U.S. fire authorities and the Environmental Protection Agency, has conducted various tests over many years to complete the "ConVault type aboveground fuel tank." 【Features of the Hazardous Material Outdoor Storage Tank 'ConVault Tank'】 ■ Elimination of the need for oil containment berms ■ Easy installation (reduction of installation costs and shortening of construction periods) ■ Simple maintenance (reduction of maintenance costs and management effort) ■ Strong against fire, typhoons, earthquakes, floods, salt damage, and external impacts ■ A structure that thoroughly eliminates the possibility of oil leakage *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
