We would like to introduce a case study of the development of "Daikin Support Life" for Daikin Industries, Ltd., a company in the lifestyle and manufacturing sector. This app visualizes the activity status of "residents" (elderly individuals living alone) that can be detected by monitoring sensors, along with statistical information about their daily rhythms, providing insights to the "watching side" (family members) regarding the daily activities of the "resident." It is assumed that the "watching side" will check the activity status of the "resident" daily. Therefore, to avoid creating a psychological barrier to monitoring, we designed the expression, information, and flow in a way that allows the "watching side" to smoothly and effortlessly access the current activity status and daily rhythm information of the "resident." We would like to introduce a case study of the development of "Kubota-PAD4.0" for Kubota Corporation, a manufacturing company. The system can be integrated with a core system that manages service parts and is used by various users both inside and outside the company on a global scale. Since it is a system used globally, three important requirements are user-friendly operability, fast response, and multi-device compatibility. Microsoft Azure, a cloud environment, has been adopted as the system infrastructure. As a result of implementing various improvements, we achieved an improvement in display speed (approximately 40% increase). "Kubota-PAD" is a system designed for sales companies and dealers that maintain Kubota products, enabling the identification of service parts. In the app version, service parts can be identified smoothly even on the small screen of a smartphone, and it includes a feature for checking illustrations and diagrams, similar to the web version. We would like to introduce a case study on the development of "Online Maintenance" for Miura Industrial Co., Ltd., a manufacturing company. The online maintenance application, introduced in 1989, had its display items and functions added over the years, leading to a complex UI. It became difficult to operate, and there were voices within the company expressing dissatisfaction with its usability. To ensure that even young field engineers found it easy to understand and use, we directly gathered feedback from the field and redesigned the UI and system from scratch. "SAPLi" is a web application that supports the work of service personnel who perform repairs and maintenance on marine equipment. We would like to introduce a case where we developed the "Parts Catalog System" for Mitsui E&S Co., Ltd., a manufacturing company. Previously, interactions were conducted through analog means such as phone calls and faxes. With the introduction of this system, it has become possible to complete everything from viewing parts lists for marine engines and port cranes to requesting quotes and placing orders online. As a goal of promoting DX, we aim to transform existing processes and create new business models, and addressing the challenges of the long-used existing system is one of these goals. After the renewal, it has been evaluated as easier to operate. We would like to introduce a case where we supported the cloud development of the "FOP Camera" for Furuno Electric Co., Ltd., a comprehensive manufacturer of marine electronic devices such as fish finders and ship radar. They were exploring how to structure various services to quickly realize business ideas based on end-user needs while expanding their data business related to marine equipment. Additionally, they had concerns about inter-system collaboration methods, data processing efficiency, security, and future operations. This system is a monitoring service that allows the camera images obtained from the vessel to be viewed from land. By combining the vessel's equipment data with camera images using unique AI technology, it automatically detects events occurring on board. We would like to introduce a case study of "HermAce," developed for Furuno Electric Co., Ltd., which operates in a wide range of fields, including electronic equipment for ships. The company aimed to transition from on-site technician support to a format where crew members could perform tasks on-site while technicians could confirm remotely. Therefore, the mission was to build a user interface (UI) that crew members could intuitively operate. After development, it became possible to check the status of the VDR online, eliminating constraints of location and time for conducting inspections.
