Theme: "Resource Circulation Project - Horizontal Recycling of Label Backing" This is an initiative to "turn waste into resources" generated by label users. In the label manufacturing process, a backing paper known as release liner is used. This release liner is an essential material in the printing and molding processes, but most of it is removed before reaching consumers and is disposed of through incineration. By replacing the release liner, which contributes to CO2 emissions, with an eco-friendly material called "dedicated release film," we have established a horizontal recycling scheme. This time, we will also showcase participation examples from brand owners. We will present various exhibits aimed at realizing a world where "recycling label backing is the norm." We look forward to your visit.

Free membership registrationThe release paper needed for seals and labels is coated with a special treatment to prevent it from sticking to the label's adhesive, making it difficult to recycle and usually resulting in disposal. The "Resource Circulation Project" aims to replace this release paper with recyclable resources (i.e., release film). What we ask our customers to change is only the "label backing." We will purchase the dedicated release film generated by label users as a resource and convert it back into raw materials for release film, thereby establishing a circular horizontal recycling scheme.
