Free membership registrationIntroducing the automatic exchange system for embossed reels, the "Emboss Auto Reel Changer." *This system is applicable to all electronic components related to reels, including connectors. In our client’s company, workers are responsible for changing the embossed reels. When the frequency of reel changes becomes as high as once every five minutes, it requires workers to be constantly present, leading to a significant demand for human resources. We anticipate that we can reduce the reel change frequency from once every five minutes to once every sixty minutes, resulting in an approximate 91.7% reduction in the workload related to reel changes. 【Case Overview】 ■ Challenges - Workers are changing the embossed reels. - When the reel change frequency is once every five minutes, workers must be constantly present. ■ Results - The reel change frequency can be reduced from once every five minutes to once every sixty minutes. - The workload related to reel changes is expected to be reduced by approximately 91.7%. ■ Technologies Used / Systems Implemented - Reel exchange on the supply and discharge sides - Handling of interlayer paper - Application of tape to discharge reels *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where the method of transporting fine workpieces made by insert molding, which posed issues in continuous "hoop transport," was changed to strip cutting transport. In the customer's company, there were challenges such as the need for additional space in the longitudinal direction leading to larger equipment, and when troubles occurred, the long hoop material would become entangled, causing delays in cleanup and setup. When we proposed cutting the hoop material to a specified length and transporting it in strip form, it eliminated the need to stop transport for positioning, and there was no longer a need for a buffer mechanism, thus avoiding the enlargement of the equipment. [Case Overview] ■ Size 4mm × 2mm × 0.6mm ■ Takt Time ・1.0 seconds per piece ◇ A patent has been obtained for this matter. "Method for manufacturing electronic components and manufacturing apparatus for electronic components" ■ Patent Number: Patent No. 7088581 ■ Patent Registration Date: June 13, 2022 ■ Title of Invention: Method for manufacturing electronic components and manufacturing apparatus for electronic components ■ Patent Holder: Seki Giken Co., Ltd. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the automation of "automatic rejection of defective products and refilling of good products." In the customer's company, during the image inspection process of the embossed stamping section for electronic components, it was a challenge that the manufacturing line would stop when defective products were detected during in-pocket inspection, leading to decreased production efficiency. After the system was implemented, manual work by operators was reduced, quality control accuracy improved, and the operational rate of the production line increased due to the early elimination of defective products. 【Case Overview】 ■ Challenges - When defective products were detected during in-pocket inspection, the manufacturing line would stop, resulting in decreased production efficiency. - The removal and replacement of defective products were manual tasks, leading to risks of human error and quality concerns. - There was a need for stock of good products, increasing the workload. ■ Results - Manual work by operators was reduced, and quality control accuracy improved. - The early elimination of defective products increased the operational rate of the production line. - The need for good product stock was eliminated, leading to space savings. - Continuous operation of the equipment maximized production efficiency. ■ Size - 4mm × 2mm × 0.5mm *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
