FBG is... By irradiating ultraviolet radar light onto an optical fiber, a periodic variation in the refractive index of the core within the optical fiber is created. As a result, a periodic refractive index modulation is obtained along the length of the fiber, allowing only light signals with wavelengths that match the periodicity to be reflected, while light signals of other wavelengths pass through without sensing this periodic refractive index variation. 【Features】 ● Successful FBG drawing using a two-beam interference method with an excimer laser (248 nm). ● The first in the world to achieve mass production of FBGs using the above method.
