At the Osaka-Kansai Expo, the "K.L.V" (Kinetic Light Vision) displayed at the Shiga Prefecture booth in the Kansai Pavilion won the Gold Award in the Entertainment Space category of the "Japan Space Design Award 2025." For "K.L.V," our control controller was adopted to manage the translucent acrylic spheres suspended by wires. The control controller achieved control of 450 motors connected via EtherCAT at a cycle of 4 milliseconds. This installation, called "Kinetic Light Vision," consists of 450 spheres that move in sync with light. In this video, the PLCplus controller is connected to a Panasonic servo motor via EtherCAT, and positioning control is achieved using the CSP mode (Servo Position Control Mode) in the EtherCAT CiA402 standard with a ladder program that has a control cycle of 1 millisecond.
