As a result, it was possible to use the blade while maintaining the film's effectiveness for 10 months. It was reported that as the usage period extended, the effectiveness of the water-repellent film gradually diminished, leading to a decrease in release properties. Water-repellent films have the effect of repelling water and are commonly used in car windshields. In contrast, hydrophilic films have the effect of allowing water to spread. We conducted various simple experiments using acrylic materials to investigate what type of coating would be suitable for the customer. The customer expressed that they would like the coating to remain non-fogging for about six months and requested that the product be processed as a single piece as much as possible, with dimensions of 1000mm x 1000mm. Therefore, durability and size became the key issues in this case. Our equipment can handle metal films up to 1000mm x 1000mm, but for functional films, the limit is about 300mm x 300mm, making it impossible to apply them in this case.
