Our company handles PLA (polylactic acid) resin, a safe and stable material made from plant-derived, natural organic compounds for molding. **Helium** Helium is commonly used as gas for character balloons, but in industrial applications, it is also used in processes such as the manufacturing of semiconductors and optical fibers. Since it is a byproduct of natural gas, the main sources of helium are said to be Russia, Qatar, and the United States. However, Haikem has quickly secured high-purity helium gas in China and is proposing it to customers. Helium is a high-pressure gas that is difficult to handle and requires special authorization. However, our company has already obtained a license for the sale of high-pressure gases and currently has a track record in handling helium gas. **Nitrogen Trifluoride (NF3)** Nitrogen trifluoride is used as a cleaning agent and dry etching agent for semiconductor and liquid crystal manufacturing equipment. Its use as a high-purity specialty gas essential for semiconductor manufacturing is on the rise, and Haikem is capable of sourcing it from China.

It does not increase carbon dioxide in the atmosphere even when incinerated (carbon neutral), resulting in a lower environmental impact compared to fossil-derived plastics. Additionally, it decomposes into water and carbon dioxide under certain environmental conditions (biodegradable), which means that even if it becomes microplastics, it can decompose in the natural environment, reducing environmental pollution.

Haikem Co., Ltd. has signed a sales agency agreement with Bengbu Zhongheng New Material Technology Co., Ltd. on February 21, and will begin selling "spherical silica," which is mainly used as a filler for semiconductor encapsulants, and "spherical alumina," which is used as a heat dissipation material for batteries and semiconductors. The sales region for these products will be Japanese companies both in Japan and overseas.

Haikem Co., Ltd. will begin handling biodegradable "PLA (polylactic acid) polyol," which serves as a raw material for polyurethane that can be utilized in a wide range of applications from car seats to paints and vegan leather. Since it does not increase carbon dioxide in the atmosphere when incinerated, it has a lower environmental impact compared to fossil-derived plastics.
