Nikkohm high-power film resistors are innovative resistors available in various styles such as surface mount, through-hole, and chassis mount, allowing for efficient heat dissipation from the metal flange on the back of the resistor. The resistive element is formed on an alumina substrate with high thermal conductivity using thin film or thin film processes, demonstrating low reactance and pure resistance over a wide frequency range from DC to several hundred MHz, making it suitable for use as resistors in power electronics devices that operate in pulse mode. The resistive element is completely insulated from the metal flange and has an insulation voltage rating of 2kV to 5kV, allowing it to be used in the main circuits of power electronics. The rated power ranges from 20W to 800W, with resistance values from 0.1Ω to 1MΩ, and the standard resistance tolerance is 1% or 5%.

Free membership registrationThe RNP-45 is a surface mount power film resistor designed to be compatible with the TO-252 package, weighing only 0.33 grams, with a thermal resistance of 3.0°C/W and a rated power of 45W. The resistive element is a pulse-resistant thick film, featuring excellent high-frequency characteristics with a reactance component of 2.7pF and 14.7nH, while also having a pulse power performance of 1kW-1µs despite its small size. The operating temperature range is from -55 °C to +175 °C. Additionally, it incorporates several design features, such as the removal of the metal flange to maximize the thermal performance of the resistor, compatibility with standard reflow SAC solder joints instead of wire bond connections, making it suitable for automatic mounting, an increased resistive element area to enhance surge performance, and the adoption of a 0.8mm substrate to strengthen bending stress.

Free membership registrationThis is a high-performance metal-clad wirewound resistor that complies with the requirements of MIL18546, IEC115, and RoHS, available in a series from 5W to 300W, offering a minimum resistance value of 0.01Ω. The WD series high-power wirewound resistors, molded with thermally conductive silicone resin in an aluminum case with excellent thermal conductivity, provide an outstanding balance between pulse power capacity and the volume of the resistor. They achieve the best stability, short-term overload characteristics, and reliability, cultivated through advanced design and a long history. The rated power ranges from 5W to 300W, with a resistance range from 0.01Ω in the low resistance area to 100kΩ in the high resistance area, an operating temperature range of -25°C to +250°C, a temperature coefficient of resistance of 60ppm/°C for resistances below 100Ω and 30ppm/°C for resistances above 100Ω, and a shelf life stability of 1% over 3 years, with short-term overload rated at power x 10 for 5 seconds. The insulation withstand voltage is 1.5kV for small products and 5kV for large products.
