In precision sheet metal processing, it is common for products related to exterior parts, especially those that are visible, to follow the flow of "processing with standard materials" → "painting finish." If a company does not have its own painting factory, the painting process will be outsourced, making it difficult to control lead times. Additionally, there are concerns about increased costs due to outsourcing fees. At our company, we actively utilize "painted steel sheets" coated with PO (polyolefin) materials, which we have introduced in other sections previously.

Among sheet metal processing, products with a frame structure are classified as "can manufacturing," and "welded structures" using angle materials and other components are common. In the past, the product shown in the photo was almost entirely joined using conventional welding at all points. Therefore, Tama Electronics proposed the use of rivets at the main joints.
