To transport slurry containing solid materials, it is possible to use a dedicated mechanical system for the transport. Additionally, when the flow rate of the transport liquid and the fluid velocity inside the piping are low, a micro-vibration device equipped with an ON/OFF switch is included to assist in the reproducibility of the slurry transport flow rate by applying micro-vibrations to the pump drive unit. By employing a double seal method, the straightness of the plunger and the cleaning of the rear part of the pump head can be achieved, which ensures a significant improvement in the durability of the seals. The optional digital pressure gauge (photo: above the transport pump) can be selected from five required rated pressures (5MPa, 10MPa, 20MPa, 50MPa, 100MPa) from the 6120 series. By separating the pump from the pressure gauge, maintenance becomes very easy in the event of trouble caused by slurry contamination inside the pressure sensor. A detailed specification discussion is essential regarding the contents of the slurry medium. In particular, for the three models with low flow rates, the 4003SV, 4005SV, and 4010SV, samples of the slurry medium and detailed usage conditions are required.

The chamber unit has a Teflon AF permeable membrane inside, which removes only dissolved oxygen while the solvent passes through it. However, since not only dissolved oxygen but also some gasification of the solvent can permeate, the material of the chamber unit is made of chemical-resistant resin. Similarly, the vacuum pump also experiences some gasification of the solvent, which places a considerable burden on the internal components of the pump. Therefore, durability and the possibility of being maintenance-free are questioned, and the performance of the vacuum pump significantly affects the retention time and peak sharpness (theoretical number of stages) in the analysis results, making the degassing device an important apparatus in experimental results. The control board performs various safety management tasks, such as monitoring the vacuum state inside the chamber and confirming the operation of the pump with a vacuum sensor. Additionally, by connecting an LCD display board, the current vacuum value can be checked. The device's condition can be verified in functional test mode, allowing for maintenance checks and the creation of a history (dedicated mark sheet) without stopping the analytical device.

Another feature of the 4000DX model is the orientation of the pump head; the standard configuration is front-facing, but it can also be selected for side-head (left or right) depending on your usage needs. By adding a cooling jacket to the pump head, it can be used not only as a high-pressure pump for liquid chromatography but also as a supercritical CO2 delivery pump. This time, we have developed the 1500-type NANO syringe pump, which is newly priced competitively, more compact, and has improved performance. It incorporates constant flow rate, constant pressure delivery mode, and dispensing mode, which are essential for analysis. The syringe capacity is 250 μl, and the flow rate setting range covers a wide range from 1 nL to 100 μl. Flushing, draining, and syringe filling functions range from 10 μl to 200 μl. The operating pressure is designed to be high at 30.0 MPa, allowing it to accommodate various analyses. Additionally, by utilizing internal software, it enables easy operation. It also supports PC control for external communication, making it possible as needed. We aimed to develop a product that is significantly more affordable and user-friendly compared to conventional models.

To enhance operability and heat retention, a larger heat jacket has been added by mounting it on the side head of the 4000 series main unit, allowing for heating of the piping to prevent solidification within the pipes. The digital pressure gauge (photo: on top of the delivery pump) is separated from the 6120 series into five models with the required rated pressure for easier maintenance, and the delivery pump can also be selected from seven models with a maximum flow rate of 3.0 to 50 ml/min. Additionally, through innovations such as heat sinks from the heat block to the pump drive unit, the thermal conductivity has been improved by about 10% compared to the previous model, with a design focus on preventing grease from dripping in the drive unit. Heaters are set vertically within the heat block, and their capacity has been increased to ensure thermal stability.

We do not handle identification for all tube colors because we cannot determine how the coloration on the internal contact surfaces might affect analysis. Additionally, we offer various PEEK line filters and solvent filters, as well as trap filters for larger impurities such as slurries and rust, which can be replaced with internal filters (available at a low cost). Although not listed in the catalog, we also have filters that are made solely with long-life mesh, which can be manufactured according to your desired micron size and larger dimensions. The combination of a pulse motor and our proprietary control software, along with a self-cleaning mechanism for atmospheric introduction during device operation, has achieved a long lifespan for the vacuum pump. The permeable membrane of the degassing module uses high-performance Teflon AF (amorphous fluoropolymer), which has excellent air permeability. Therefore, even with a low volume (480 microL), our vacuum pump's performance allows for a wide range of applications from micro-delivery to semi-preparative processes. In terms of OEM support, during maintenance, the status and inspection of each point can be confirmed via an LCD display, and experiments will not be interrupted even during analysis. Additionally, depending on the OEM specifications and special solvent delivery specifications, the vacuum level can be controlled to your desired setting.
