Sintered metal filters include powder filters made from stainless steel and bronze powders, as well as laminated mesh sintered filters created by stacking multiple layers of wire mesh. Powder filters utilize the porosity characteristic of powder metallurgy to function as filters, where uniformly sized powder is filled into a mold and pressed, then sintered at high temperatures in an atmosphere or vacuum. Laminated mesh sintered filters are made by stacking multiple layers of wire mesh and sintering them at high temperatures in a vacuum, allowing for the adjustment of filtration holes based on the mesh size and the number of layers.
