The Prism 3000 series is a three-flute square end mill developed specifically for the machining of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum alloys and aluminum die castings. It achieves excellent performance in side machining, groove machining, and dry cutting in the Z direction, along with high machining accuracy. By adopting a three-flute design that does not interfere with the back force on the cutting edges during cutting, it suppresses phenomena such as chatter and digging in, while achieving a sharp cutting edge and rigidity. The groove shape and ultra-thin DLC coating allow for the discharge of large volumes of chips without welding. Furthermore, the bottom edge shape features a parabolic face design (patented) that virtually eliminates feed marks generated during cutting.
