The 【OM3-8C】 is a long-distance detection sensor that exceeds 5 meters for outdoor use. It features a comparator output type. With a protection structure equivalent to IP64, it can be used in a temperature range of -10 to +55°C. The maximum detection distance is approximately 8 meters, making it ideal for vehicle detection in outdoor environments where environmental performance is required.

Compared to existing ultrasonic sensors, the features of our sensor are: (1) It can be used outdoors and is not affected by rain or snow. (2) It is compact and lightweight (50g for the main unit) while also capable of long-distance detection (10m). (3) It has high sensitivity, resulting in good angular characteristics, making it less prone to malfunctions such as fluctuations in output values due to wind. (4) It is overwhelmingly low-cost (about half the price) compared to existing products with equivalent performance.
