Free membership registrationUV-curable resins are used in various manufacturing processes, ranging from electronic devices and automotive parts to high-performance films and camera lenses. How is the curing assessment conducted? Is one unit out of a thousand subjected to destructive testing? Are good products sampled for inspection? For instance, if good product sampling is performed, inspecting one unit out of every hundred from ten million products would result in the disposal of one hundred thousand units on a single line. Additionally, if a curing defect is found, all products from that line would be discarded. Curea is a device that eliminates production loss and significantly reduces costs by conducting full inspection through inline testing. This time, I will discuss how to utilize this product.

Free membership registrationIn February 2019, a method for measuring shrinkage rate using a resin curing shrinkage stress measurement device was established as a JIS standard. We will hold a seminar at our Tokyo showroom on the continuous measurement method for the shrinkage rates of UV-curable and thermosetting resins. It is scheduled for June and early July. Free membership registrationRecently, AcroEdge has utilized the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "New Market Creation Standardization System" to establish a measurement method using our device, the Custron (Curing Shrinkage Stress Measurement Device), as the JIS standard JIS K 6941. Our company develops, manufactures, and sells the Custron, a device that evaluates changes in the curing state of UV-curable and thermosetting resins. It continuously measures the shrinkage rate and shrinkage stress of materials such as resins and thermosetting plastics, allowing for observation of their behavior. Measurements can be taken with a small sample size, and we supply this device to customers including universities and research institutions.
