[SRMS & SDGs] Yokohama Connection Workshop at the Ruins

The "Yokohama Enmusubi Workshop" is an initiative that connects the regional cultural heritage of northern Yokohama (the former Kohoku Ward 4 districts: Kohoku Ward, Midori Ward, Aoba Ward, and Tsuzuki Ward) with the citizens. We will conduct events and disseminate information that serve as opportunities to learn about aspects of the region, such as culture, history, nature, industry, commerce, public facilities, and private facilities, which are often surprisingly unknown even to those who live here. Tsuzuki Ward is home to many small and medium-sized manufacturing businesses known as "town factories," each possessing advanced technology and unique products, all brimming with charm. In this workshop, we created "one-of-a-kind pit-style residences" using waste materials sourced from these local companies while learning about the history of the area.
