■Features of Die Casting Our company performs die casting using two types of materials: zinc and aluminum. The melting temperature of aluminum is between 670°C and 760°C, while zinc has a lower melting temperature of 420°C to 450°C. Surface-visible defects can be removed through visual inspection, but hidden internal defects are difficult to detect. During processes such as cutting, polishing, shot blasting, and post-processing like painting or plating, previously invisible defects may become apparent. When die casting manufacturing and post-processing are conducted by separate companies, this can often manifest as yield and unnecessary cost issues. The RTCA/DO-254 guidance recommends that applicants define and implement HDL coding standards. This work begins with a planning process that includes the definition of the standard, how it will be implemented, and, if the process is automated, the evaluation methods for tools or results. A key issue is that the guidance does not have clearly defined formal standards, leading to questions about how to conduct a detailed review of HDL code.
