From January 31 (Wednesday) to February 1 (Thursday), 2024, we exhibited jointly with BRICS Co., Ltd. at the Defense Equipment Agency's Defense Industry Entry Promotion Exhibition held in Tokyo. We showcased a solution that provides equipment, cameras, and AI technology in a one-stop manner, with the theme of "AI that protects lives." Main exhibited technologies: - XAI (Explainable AI): A technology that has expanded from research projects by the U.S. DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) and is also important in Japan's defense industry. - QAAI (Quality Assurance AI): AI technology that achieves high-precision quality assurance. Many attendees visited the venue, and we could see a particularly high level of interest in our XAI/QAAI. XAI is expected to play an important role in the defense industry in the future. Initiatives by the Defense Equipment Agency: The Defense Equipment Agency is implementing initiatives to strengthen the defense industrial base by discovering small and medium-sized enterprises, venture companies, and startups with excellent technology, products, and price competitiveness, and promoting new entries into the defense industry. This exhibition is part of that effort, aimed at providing matching opportunities between promising small and medium-sized enterprises and the Ministry of Defense and defense-related companies.
