Started selling the CUBE encoder's dedicated communication modem "BONDTM," which can connect up to five USB data communication devices such as Xi and WiMAX. ~Enables high-definition live broadcasting from locations where laying lines is difficult, such as outdoors, and is also suitable for emergency live broadcasts like disaster reporting and election results.~

Camcast 7 Co., Ltd. (Location: Nishi Ward, Osaka City, CEO: Shinichi Nishioka, hereinafter referred to as Camcast 7), which provides internet live streaming services and sells related equipment, will begin selling the communication modem "BOND(TM)" exclusively for the H.264 high-definition encoder CUBE(R) starting in September 2012.
BOND is a product that uses multiple USB-type data communication devices such as Xi, WiMAX, and eMobile LTE to deliver video data compressed by the CUBE encoder. BOND can connect up to five USB-type data communication devices, and any combination is possible as long as the carriers and devices are supported by BOND.
When data is transmitted via BOND, it is first sent to an original server called Sputnik. Sputnik then reconstructs the data received in fragments in the correct order and sends it to platforms such as CUBE decoders, Ustream, and Nico Nico Live Broadcasting.
It features the ability to simultaneously use different carriers to distribute the load, allowing for flexible responses to bandwidth limitations of each carrier and network congestion at the usage location. The price is open, with an expected retail price of around 320,000 yen.
