Hitachi High-Tech Materials Corporation
The explosion-proof mobile computer "i.roc Ci70J-Ex," which can be used in explosion-proof areas (Zone 1, Zone 2), obtained domestic explosion-proof certification for the one-dimensional barcode model in October 2014 and for the two-dimensional barcode model in May 2015, and began sales.
As a mobile device that can be used in Zone 1 and has obtained domestic explosion-proof certification, it is the only product in Japan (as of July 2015).
*Electronic devices used in hazardous locations (Zone 0-2) must be products that have obtained domestic explosion-proof certification to comply with the Labor Safety and Health Act.
By using explosion-proof mobile computers for tasks that were previously performed manually in explosion-proof areas, it significantly contributes to "preventing human error," "improving work efficiency," and "enhancing the accuracy of inspection tasks."
*It is said that more than half of accidents in pharmaceutical and chemical plants, as well as oil and gas storage facilities, are due to human factors.
