High-pressure measurements up to 50 MPa are possible! A series of calorimeters used in a wide range of fields.

The "Kalbe-type Calorimeter Series" is a calorimeter manufactured by SETARAM that combines the features of high-sensitivity isothermal measurements and thermal analysis device DSC for temperature rise measurements. You can choose devices within a temperature range from low temperatures (-196℃) to high temperatures (1000℃), and various measurements are possible with dedicated sample equipment. It is possible to measure temperatures up to 2400℃.

We have adopted a graphite furnace, achieving a compact desktop-sized device with a maximum temperature of 2400°C. By combining protective tubes and temperature sensors within the furnace, measurements can be taken in various atmospheres, including air, oxygen, and hydrogen, in addition to inert gases.

The unique tungsten furnace developed by SETARAM enables a compact, maintenance-free design that does not require protective gas. It allows for TGA, (TG-)DTA, (TG-)DSC, and high-precision Cp measurements at temperatures up to 1,600°C. Due to the small sample atmosphere, inert gas replacement can be performed without vacuum replacement, preventing oxidation of the sample.

Continuous heating and cooling measurements are possible in the range of 45℃ to 120℃.

SETARAM has combined its unique Calvet method with semiconductor sensors to achieve high-sensitivity DSC measurements with excellent operability. The main reason why Micro-DSC can be used for a wide range of applications is that, despite being ultra-high sensitivity DSC, the sample container can be removed separately from the detection area. The micro DSC7 evo is equipped with 3D Calvet sensor technology and is designed for research on crude oil, emulsions, biopolymers, carbohydrates, and more.

High-sensitivity measurement of thermal energy and weight changes is possible with a unique 3D sensor.

The CALVET PRO, a DSC designed with SETARAM's unique 3D sensor, achieves the operability of a general-purpose DSC and high-sensitivity measurements with a large sample container. By simply exchanging the sample container, it allows for high-pressure DSC measurements up to 50 MPa (600°C), and by adding a suspended balance (optional), it enables simultaneous high-sensitivity measurements of heat flow and weight changes as a TG/DSC. Additionally, the CALVET PRO DSC can be equipped with an optional robotic sample exchange mechanism (48 samples), enabling unmanned operation.
