**Overview** The LTC6909 features eight individual outputs, providing up to eight rail-to-rail 50% duty cycle clock signals. These outputs can be used to enable/disable multiple switching regulators or to achieve phase synchronization. Additionally, by using three logic inputs, the phase relationship between these outputs can be set within a range of 45° to 120°, or the outputs can be set to logic "L" or high-impedance state. The LTC6909 also includes a Spectrum Spread Frequency Modulation (SSFM) feature, which is a technique for modulating the clock frequency with a pseudo-random signal. SSFM can be easily enabled and provides a method to reduce peak electromagnetic radiation. The amount of frequency spreading is fixed at ±10% of the center frequency, and the user can select one of three modulation rates.
