See you AI Japan announces the addition of a multi-turn output option to the Absolute Encoder series.

CUI's Motion Group announced today that the AMT21 series of absolute modular encoders has been enhanced with multi-turn output capabilities. This multi-turn AMT21 series provides 12-bit or 14-bit absolute position information and implements a 14-bit signed rotation counter for applications that require rotation beyond 360 degrees. These features offer users the ability to track position information even during power loss, while maintaining the rotation counter with battery backup, eliminating the need for a homing sequence.
Based on CUI's patented capacitive ASIC technology, the AMT21 series boasts advanced durability and resilience against dirt, dust, and oil commonly found in motion applications. This high-speed RS-485 protocol for fast and low-latency position data comes in a compact package with low current consumption of 8mA at 5V and a locking hub for easy mounting. The AMT21 series, which boasts a mechanical accuracy of ±0.2, also features an operating temperature range of -40 to +105°C, either radially or axially.
