The Daicel Group has further refined its unique cellulose chemical technology to develop biomass plastics made from non-edible plants, evolving and advancing to "Selblen EC" and "Acetyl EC," which consider European environmental requirements, based on cellulose acetate resin "Acetyl."
Since this product is made from pulp, it does not impact food resources, unlike PLA resin made from corn.
