The FB5C back pressure regulator provides suitable hard seats and a variety of diaphragms and O-ring materials for aseptic back pressure applications. The FB5C operates by sensing the pressure or back pressure of the fluid supplied to the underside of the diaphragm from the side-mounted inlet. When the back pressure exceeds the set pressure, the load force on the diaphragm compresses the spring, causing the stem to function in an open state from the seat. As the flow increases and the back pressure is discharged, the forces of the spring and diaphragm are relieved, allowing the stem to return to its normally closed position. The FB6C pressure regulator controls the pressure of devices that require maintenance in sanitary conditions. The FB6C operates by sensing the pressure on the underside of the diaphragm downstream of the seat. When the downstream pressure approaches the set pressure, the force exerted by the pressure on the diaphragm begins to move the plug upward to close it, overcoming the force of the set spring. This reduces the downstream pressure and maintains the set pressure.
