Vicor adds an 800V compatible model to the Ultra High Voltage Bus Converter Module "BCM4414".

Vicor (Headquarters: Massachusetts, USA, CEO: Patrizio Vinciarelli, hereinafter: Vicor) has announced the launch of its new product, the "800V BCM4414," which is an 800V compatible model from the ultra-high voltage bus converter module "BCM4414" series. The 800V BCM4414 is an isolated bus converter module (BCM) rated at 1.6kW with a fixed output conversion ratio of 1/16, supporting a primary side input voltage range of 500V-800V and delivering safe voltage (SELV) to the secondary side with a maximum efficiency of 97.7%. The reinforced insulation (4,242VDC) and bidirectional voltage conversion capabilities are common with the existing model in the ultra-high voltage BCM series, the 700V BCM4414.
The BCM can easily operate in parallel, allowing it to meet larger power demands, and by connecting the secondary side output voltages in series, it can also accommodate higher voltage outputs.
This ultra-high voltage BCM series addresses the increasing demands for high power density and performance in industrial equipment, as well as high voltage DC power supply systems for defense three-phase AC power sources or wired drones.
