Column [Heat] How Heat is Transmitted

There are three methods of heat transfer depending on how heat is transmitted. Heat, as everyone knows, moves from the high-temperature side to the low-temperature side. Eventually, when the temperatures of both sides become equal, heat transfer ceases.
This is called thermal equilibrium.
Convection heat - carried by fluids
It is transmitted by moving fluids such as water or air. When you hold your hand over a cup of coffee and feel the warm steam (air), that is "convection heat."
Conduction heat - carried by materials
It is transmitted by materials that can hold heat, such as containers. When you touch a coffee cup and feel that it is warm, that is "conduction heat."
Radiant heat - carried by electromagnetic waves
It is transmitted by electromagnetic waves emitted by objects with temperature. When you hold your hand over a coffee cup and feel warmth even without touching it, that is "radiant heat."
