Polyacetal
Polyacetal, or polyoxymethylene, is a polymer that has an oxymethylene structure as its repeating unit, abbreviated as POM. There are both homopolymers that are formed solely from formaldehyde and copolymers that contain about 2 mol% of oxymethylene units, both of which are referred to as polyacetal, acetal resin, or polyacetal resin.
