Allied Telesis' router product "AR Series" is compatible with "OCN Virtual Connect" - A new lineup has been added for next-generation internet connections that enable comfortable high-capacity communication.
Allied Telesis, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Akira Oshima) has announced that five products in our AR series of router products now support "OCN Virtual Connect (IPoE connection) Fixed IP," in addition to the existing support for "OCN Virtual Connect (IPoE connection) Dynamic IP" provided by NTT Communications Corporation.
The routers are installed at the entrance and exit points of the internet in network configurations. However, due to technical limitations of conventional internet connection standards, congestion in data transfer has occurred at the exit to the internet. As a result, there is a growing trend towards the next-generation standard, IPv6 IPoE, which tends to reduce communication delays compared to conventional standards.
With this new support, customers can choose and utilize communication methods that suit their usage environment. The increase in the lineup of internet services compatible with IPv6 IPoE connections will help resolve issues for customers using our AR series router products.
