Japan's first adoption of a antiviral and antibacterial coating made of Dainium by J-Bus, the largest domestic bus body manufacturer. (Press release date: January 18, 2021)
Daiyanium Co., Ltd., a regular member of the SIAA (Society of Antibacterial Products Technology), has had its nano-diamond catalyst product (Daiyanium) adopted by Japan's largest bus body manufacturing company.
Daiyanium, which has been adopted by J-Bus Co., Ltd., the largest bus body manufacturer, as a coating agent for the interior of buses, is a registered product that meets the SIAA antiviral and antibacterial standards, having passed rigorous safety and efficacy tests. Furthermore, this product has been verified through joint research with Nara Medical University to reduce specific viruses adhered to non-porous surfaces coated with Daiyanium by over 99%.
Buses, which support people's mobility, carry a large number of unspecified individuals. The day when safe buses, coated with antiviral and antibacterial properties at the time of factory shipment, will run on Japan's roads is approaching.
This initiative to introduce antiviral and antibacterial catalysts in bus body manufacturing is the first of its kind in Japan.
【Construction Information】
Daiyanium will be applied primarily to areas frequently touched by passengers (such as passenger seats, side windows, inner waist panels, handrails, hanging straps, exit push buttons, air conditioning vents, etc.). Other areas can also be addressed upon request.
