[National First!] All bus stops on the route will be converted to smart bus stops! Operations will begin on March 21 for two airport bus routes to Kitakyushu Airport - Aiming to reduce the bus stop management workload, which has increased nearly tenfold during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nishitetsu Bus Kitakyushu Co., Ltd. will introduce smart bus stops provided by Nishitetsu M-Tech Co., Ltd. and YE DIGITAL Co., Ltd. at all bus stops on the two Kitakyushu Airport Airport Bus routes (Kokura route and Orito/Kurosaki/Gakken City route), starting operations on March 21. This will be the first time in Japan that smart bus stops will be operated at all bus stops from the starting point to the endpoint of a bus route.
The two Kitakyushu Airport Airport Bus routes being introduced have had their schedules revised to align with aircraft operation times, and employees are currently replacing the timetables at each bus stop as needed. Due to the recent impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, aircraft operation times have been frequently changed, resulting in a workload for the year 2020 that is approximately ten times greater than usual. This introduction will lead to significant efficiency improvements in bus stop management operations. Additionally, new bus stops (timetables) specifically for the Kitakyushu Airport Airport Bus will be introduced separately from existing bus stops. By distinguishing these bus stops from others, a clearer bus stop environment will be established.
