Denodo Global Cloud Survey 2021 Released

Denodo's latest cloud survey reveals a high demand for management skills in hybrid and multi-cloud environments as the migration of advanced workloads to the cloud progresses.
According to Denodo's fourth annual cloud usage survey, organizations are accelerating their cloud initiatives to leverage cloud flexibility, manage costs, shorten time to market, and simplify data management. The survey, which included responses from 150 global business and IT professionals across various industries, found that the adoption of hybrid cloud remains a primary choice, with more than one-third (35 percent) of organizations adopting this model. The use of private cloud is also robust, accounting for about one-quarter (24 percent) of all workloads, followed by a nearly flat public cloud usage (16 percent). Multi-cloud is a popular option chosen by nearly 1 in 10 organizations (9 percent), as they opt to source the best applications, data repositories, and infrastructure orchestration technologies from multiple cloud service providers to avoid vendor lock-in.
