eFEREC Ver.1.2 has released SAML authentication functionality.

NetSpring Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Susumu Seibu), which develops and sells network equipment, will start providing version eFEREC v1.2 of its new product "eFEREC," launched in January last year as a next-generation network access management system, from July 20.
■Main feature upgrades and improvements of eFEREC v1.2
- Added SAML authentication (Shibboleth SP) functionality, enabling network access after authentication by an external IdP.
- VLANs that use SAML authentication can be specified, and access policy settings can be configured after authentication.
- Offered as a paid SAML authentication option.
- Model number FE0-OP2: Initial lump-sum license fee of ¥50,000 (OTC).
- Up to 3 VLANs can be configured (Web authentication, SAML authentication, AUP, etc.).
- Other performance and functionality improvements, as well as fixes and vulnerability responses.
- Version upgrades are recommended even for environments that do not require SAML option functionality.
