Osaka Forestry Co., Ltd. has introduced a "collaborative robot" for pick and place!

Our company has introduced 'collaborative robots' to Ohsaka Forestry Co., Ltd., which has been producing and supplying seedlings in Tokachi, Hokkaido for 70 years.
The company has successfully automated part of the seedling cultivation process, which was traditionally reliant on manual labor. This has significantly reduced labor requirements at a time when securing workers has become challenging due to an aging population.
Due to a high dependence on skilled workers and the ongoing aging of the workforce, there are concerns about future labor shortages, necessitating that humans work alongside robots.
The 'UR robot' has been introduced for the initial process of seedling production, which involves placing containers onto a conveyor belt, allowing one person to perform a task that previously required two.
