The introduction of "collaborative robots" at the two-wheeler parts manufacturer SHAD has improved the working environment in the screw tightening process!

The Spanish motorcycle parts manufacturer SHAD was considering automating the assembly process to allow workers to operate in a more efficient environment.
As production processes changed, they sought a system that could respond flexibly and decided to introduce collaborative robots. As a result, the working environment for the screw tightening process was improved, and two workers were freed from many repetitive tasks.
The challenge was the desire to automate in order to respond to increased demand, but there was no space to build an automation system, and they wanted to improve the repetitive tasks of the workers.
They introduced the "UR5" in the screw tightening process. By placing it right next to the workers, they were able to collaborate in a shared space, and by replacing repetitive tasks with the robot, work efficiency was also improved.
