Makino Botanical Garden (Kochi Prefecture)

The feature for November is "Botanical Gardens."
Botanical gardens are places of relaxation for people to enjoy green spaces filled with flowers and trees. The planters that display the flowers in the botanical gardens and the benches in the resting areas harmonize with natural materials like wood. This month, we will introduce examples of our wooden facilities delivered to botanical gardens. This week, we will feature Makino Botanical Garden (Kochi Prefecture).

The "Kochi Prefectural Makino Botanical Garden" was opened to honor the achievements of Dr. Tomitaro Makino, known as the "Father of Japanese Botany," who was from Kochi Prefecture. Visitors can enjoy seasonal plants within the garden. In 2019, the "Konkong Mountain Square" and "Fumufumu Square" were opened as expanded areas. As a relaxation facility in this area, wooden benches from Zaiens were installed. The warm wooden benches blend well with the botanical garden.
