Started verification of the effectiveness of the AI monitoring system "PETER" for movable property collateral financing secured by grazing cattle - Utilizing edge AI and LPWA technology to streamline the management of grazing cattle for livestock farmers and ABL management for financial institutions.

On July 27, 2021, a joint project team consisting of TechnoPro Design, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Shinshu University, Dentsu International Information Services, Farmnote, and Sony Group Corporation, under the Tokyo Institute of Technology's COI (Center of Innovation) "Empathy with Silent Voices" Earth Inclusive Sensing Research Base, and with the cooperation of Kagoshima Bank, began a demonstration experiment on the application of the AI monitoring system for grazing cattle, "PETER," developed by the joint project team using edge AI technology and LPWA technology, to asset-based lending (ABL) secured by movable property and receivables at Sakura Farm on Kuroshima Island in Taketomi Town, Okinawa Prefecture, known as Cow Island.
The utilization of PETER, which allows for remote monitoring of individual cattle, is expected to lead to the appropriate and efficient execution of ABL and contribute to sustainable livestock management.
