Announcement of the release of a documentary video on rice cultivation through dryland drip fertigation for achieving SDGs in the agricultural sector.

Currently, global warming is being viewed as a significant issue worldwide, and efforts to implement a decarbonized society are progressing globally to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In the agricultural sector, there is an accelerating movement to promote carbon sequestration in farmland. In Japan, methane is the second-largest greenhouse gas emitted after CO2, with more than half of its emissions originating from agricultural sources such as fermentation in the digestive tracts of livestock and rice cultivation.
Sanhope takes the generation of greenhouse gases (methane) from rice paddies seriously and is engaged in rice cultivation using a method called "dryland drip fertigation," which suppresses methane emissions, promotes carbon sequestration in the soil, and also reduces water and fertilizer usage.
