A place of relaxation for local residents. Oyamazaki Tile Kiln Ruins Park (Kyoto Prefecture)

The December feature is "Parks for Rest."
When people think of parks, they often envision those with playground equipment like slides and swings. This time, we introduce a park without play equipment where you can enjoy academic resources and views while resting. The wooden facilities contribute to creating a relaxing space.
This week, we introduce the Oyamazaki Tile Kiln Ruins Park (Kyoto Prefecture). The Oyamazaki Tile Kiln Ruins are a site where tiles necessary for the construction of Heijokyo were produced from the late 8th century to the early 9th century. The park has been developed to protect this site and allow for visits, and we supplied wooden gazebos, wooden fences, benches, log stairs, rope fences, and cedar sleepers.
