The HFR002 can measure complex viscoelasticity using ultrasonic propagation. All strains propagate at the speed of sound, resulting in overall deformation. Those with significant attenuation are referred to as viscoelastic materials. The storage modulus can be measured at the speed of sound. The loss modulus can be measured from the attenuation. Our proprietary surface method allows for the analysis of surface degradation and the effects of the skin layer, which were previously impossible to assess.
