Tokyo, April 21, 2022 - (JCN Newswire) - Showa Denko has established and begun utilizing a system for efficiently operating machine learning models in material development using artificial intelligence (hereinafter referred to as AI), ahead of other companies. With the machine learning model, it is possible to predict material properties based on formulations and manufacturing methods. Recently, we automated the input of the latest data and data processing for the computers developing this machine learning model.
As a result, we have been able to reduce the time required for the entire process from the development of the machine learning model to the operation of the system from the conventional five days per month to just one day. Additionally, by always conducting material property predictions based on the latest data, we have achieved a faster pace in material development.
