This fiscal year, applications for the IT introduction subsidy have started from April. Continuing from the previous year, POSCO's products and systems are eligible tools for the IT introduction subsidy 2022, and applications are now possible. The scope of eligibility has changed from the previous year, and adjustments have been made to make applications easier, so we will provide information on the changes and the essentials required for application as follows.
In the revised version of the "Uji Studies" supplementary textbook published by the Uji City Board of Education in Kyoto, the semi-self POS register is introduced as a product that continues to evolve through daily verification experiments in fields such as healthcare and distribution. A product photo of POSCO's semi-self checkout has been featured again as "a register that continues to spread." Moving forward, POSCO will contribute to societal development through cooperation in new technology development, including product development and research, as well as educational activities.
POSCO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, President: Jota Koizumi) has been recognized as an eligible tool for the IT introduction subsidy 2022 under the supplementary budget for the fiscal year 2019 and the supplementary budget for fiscal year 2021 for the "Service Productivity Improvement IT Introduction Support Project." The electronic medical record and receipt-linked POS register system "Receipt POS (R)" for the healthcare industry and the POS register system for the retail industry are included. POSCO is available for consultations regarding this application.
Recently, we delivered Receipt POS to an ophthalmology clinic in Okinawa Prefecture. They have adopted the semi-self checkout, which has been gaining more interest among our lineup. Regarding the semi-self type register, there are often concerns before implementation about whether elderly patients can operate it well, but once operations begin, it is often reassuring to see that they adapt to the operation unexpectedly well.
Recently, my customer, Workway Co., Ltd., which operates over 15 stores selling uniforms, work supplies, and casual wear centered in Kochi Prefecture, opened a new store in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. The company has expanded its stores not only in Kochi Prefecture but also in Kagawa and Ehime Prefectures, making this their second store in Takamatsu City. The register system they adopted is linked to an automatic change machine and integrated with a credit card payment terminal.
In my daily conversations with customers, I have been receiving more inquiries about introducing cashless payment options as many customers express a desire to pay with "credit cards," "electronic money," or "QR code payments." The POSCO POS register system can be integrated with cashless payment terminals, eliminating the need for manual input of amounts, thereby reducing human errors.
In recent years, opportunities for interest in Receipt POS have increased with the aim of infection control and alleviating labor shortages. We hope that POSCO's system can help reduce the burden of accounting operations, and we have prepared various functions tailored to different operations. Here, we will explain the features of Receipt POS that assist in alleviating labor shortages and three key points to keep in mind when implementing.
Streamlining daily accounting operations for hospitals and clinics. Achieving accurate and quick accounting operations. This POS register can be linked with electronic medical records and receipt software, including the standard medical receipt software (ORCA). It can also be integrated with automatic change machines.
