A wooden facility in a Japanese style with architectural landscaping overlooking Lake Senba. Tokiwa-tei M Garden (Ibaraki Prefecture)

The feature for May is "Tourism Bases."
This month's feature is "Tourism Bases." Japan has various "Wa" (Japanese-style) tourism resources, including traditional townscapes, gardens, and facilities. This year's Golden Week saw people enjoying tourism without restrictions for the first time in two years. We have provided examples of wooden facilities at these "Wa" tourism bases.
This time, we are introducing Tokiwa-tei M Garden. We supplied wooden signs, resting areas, gates, handrails, retaining walls, and privacy walls for the exterior development of a facility overlooking Lake Senba, near Kairakuen and Tokiwa Shrine in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

This facility was born in a location adjacent to Kairakuen and Tokiwajinja in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The concept is "Reiwa's Kobuntei," creating a space loved by local residents and visitors to Mito. As part of the exterior space development, we supplied wooden signs, gates, rest areas, wooden handrails, retaining walls, and privacy walls. The signs and gates feature a traditional design that matches the atmosphere of the facility.
