Renewing wooden playground equipment with forest environment transfer tax. Chuo-dori Park (Tokyo).

The feature for February is "Forest Environment Transfer Tax."
The Forest Environment Transfer Tax began in the first year of the Reiwa era. It is distributed to each municipality at a certain percentage, and in towns and cities, it is intended to be used for "costs related to forest maintenance and its promotion," such as thinning, human resource development, securing successors, and promoting and raising awareness of wood utilization.
At Zaiensu, we are proposing the use of the Forest Environment Transfer Tax in the exterior field as part of the promotion of forest wood utilization.
This time, we would like to introduce the case of "Chuo-dori Park," which was developed by Musashino City using the Forest Environment Transfer Tax.

We have renovated the wooden play equipment in the park near Musashino City Hall. A portion of the forest environment transfer tax has been used for this play equipment renovation. The equipment uses timber from the Tama region. Based on requests for play equipment not available in Musashino City, the children's play equipment is designed to create a natural flow of play for children by combining athletic-type items in a corridor-like arrangement. We also installed combination play equipment and a sandbox for toddlers.
