Many repair agents often cannot resume operation until fully cured; however, the W type is a groundbreaking repair technology that can cure normally even when submerged immediately after application.

The surface preparation for the repair area involves the removal of rust and debris through general surface treatment, sanding the repair area, and degreasing and cleaning. It does not need to be completely dry, but it is better to do it than not. Next, apply the mixed U-Metal rapid type W by rubbing it onto the repair area, and finally, apply it from above to complete the process. Initial curing begins 2 to 3 minutes after mixing (at room temperature) and reaches initial hardness in 15 minutes. After 24 hours (at room temperature), it will achieve a hardness suitable for machining. Underwater, the temperature drops, which may slow down the curing time. Conversely, it speeds up in warm water. Additionally, re-coating is possible regardless of whether it is before or after curing. Using a hairdryer or similar device to apply warm air can also shorten the curing time. The standard U-Metal cures through a chemical reaction, so the best condition for promoting curing is when the thickness of the mixed U-Metal is around 5mm. Conversely, if you want to delay curing, spreading it thinly will slow it down. Pre-cooling the base agent can further delay the curing time.
