It is a diffusion hardening treatment. It does not cover the surface with a film but hardens the surface layer of the base material. No white layer (iron nitride) is generated. It can uniformly treat complex shapes and deep holes. It is suitable for hardening treatment of stainless steel. The depth of the diffusion layer can be controlled. Deformation caused by the treatment is extremely minimal. Surface roughness after treatment is very low. <Application> Since it raises the surface hardness of SUS and SKD to levels comparable to that of hard alloys, it improves the wear resistance and release properties of mold components. It also prevents welding of non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, significantly extending the lifespan of molds. As it is gas nitriding, it can be processed even in fine holes.
