When ultrasonic waves are applied to the sample, countless vacuum bubbles are generated within it. These bubbles are crushed and disappear in the next moment. When they disappear, the surrounding liquid collides, creating extremely high pressure in various parts of the fluid. This phenomenon is called cavitation, and the instantaneous high impact force generated by this cavitation is used for emulsification, dispersion, mixing, and crushing.
