The samples in the hopper are fed directly beneath the holder (ultrasonic irradiation section) by a pump. The fed samples are irradiated with ultrasound within the holder, where they are crushed and dispersed. The crushed and dispersed samples can either be discharged directly from the outlet or returned to the hopper for further crushing and dispersion. The storage tank is jacketed, making temperature management easy.
