Technical Report: Comparison of Bacterial Growth in Degassed Water and Non-Degassed Water
The purpose is to investigate the tendency of bacterial growth in water subjected to degassing using a degasser and to examine whether degassing that does not lead to anaerobic conditions affects the growth of fungi.
【Results】 Degassed water: The number of bacteria temporarily increased but then decreased to a level that could not be measured. There is a possibility that they have died. Non-degassed water: The number of bacteria initially increased, then decreased, and subsequently continued to increase again. After 20 days, it reached a level that could not be measured.

basic information
【Considerations】 ○ In this examination, the identification of fungi was not conducted, nor was there an investigation into the causes of temporary fungal proliferation. ○ Fungal growth in de-aerated water showed a clear tendency to be suppressed compared to fungal growth in non-de-aerated water. ○ De-aeration by a degasser reduces not only dissolved oxygen but also nitrogen and carbon dioxide dissolved in the water, suggesting that it may be effective in suppressing the proliferation of not just fungi but also algae. ● For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.
